What gauge are the PRS Classic Strings Heavy?

This set covers a gauge range of .012 to .052, with a .012 top string. It is the heaviest set in the PRS Classic Strings range.

Do I need a setup after switching to heavy strings?

Possibly. A different string tension can affect neck relief, action and intonation, so a setup adjustment may be needed after restringing.

Why choose a heavier string gauge?

Heavier gauges increase string tension. They are often chosen for a firm feel, a full sound or lower tunings.

Is this string set in stock?
