About the DGT Semi-Hollow with bird inlays

The DGT Semi-Hollow combines bird inlays, a semi-hollow body and DGT pickups in one instrument. It is the David Grissom signature model in the PRS Core range, here in a Charcoal finish.

A semi-hollow build with an f-hole is often chosen by players who want an airier, more open feel than a solid body gives. The controls are two volume knobs, one tone knob and a 3-way toggle pickup switch.

Choosing a semi-hollow PRS

If you are comparing semi-hollow guitars, play them through the amp you use most. Pay attention to how the neck carve feels in your hand and how the guitar responds at your usual volume, since semi-hollow bodies can react differently to high gain than solid bodies.
