Who is the PRS McCarty Black Gold for?

This guitar suits players who like a warm, vintage-style voice from a modern, well-built instrument. The McCarty III pickups, the three-way toggle switch and the push/pull tone control give you a practical set of sounds from one guitar.

Because every guitar feels different in the hands, we recommend trying it before you decide. Neck feel, weight and balance are personal, and a showroom visit is the best way to judge them.

Caring for a nitro finish

A high gloss nitro finish looks great but deserves some care. Wipe the guitar down with a soft cloth after playing and keep it in its case when you are not using it. Avoid leaving it near strong heat or in direct sunlight, and keep rubber or plastic stands away from the finish unless they are marked as nitro-safe.
