Description

PRS Classic Acoustic Strings use an 80/20 bronze wrap on the wound strings. 80/20 bronze, an alloy of roughly 80 percent copper and 20 percent zinc, is a traditional material for acoustic strings and is generally associated with a bright, clear tone.

The Bluegrass set pairs a .012 top with a .056 low string, giving the heaviest bass end in this range. Heavier bass strings are often chosen for a strong low end in flatpicking and rhythm playing.
